| This article is about the turret weapons from War for Cybertron. For Astrotrain's weapon from Generation 1, see ionic displacer rifle. |

One of the more powerful weapons on Cybertron, the Ion Displacer is usually found attached to a turret base and behaves like a heavy machine gun. Cybertronians with a streak of Rambo in them can rip them from their restraints and carry them around.

War for Cybertron
Ion Displacers were used during the Great War. They could also be found in the hands of Heavy Soldiers. Transformers: War for Cybertron The stats are sketchy, but thus far this is the best we can do:
Damage: 15
Range: 9
Accuracy: 5;7 (fine aim)
Rate of Fire: 13
Notes
- Once detached from their base, their ammo becomes limited. They also restrict movement and will be dropped upon transformation.
- This weapon seems to be highly inspired by the turrets in Halo 3, which can also be ripped away from the mounting and carried around.
- When Megatron picks up an Ion Displacer, he says "Now this is a true instrument of destruction!" Whether this is a reference to the song or not is unknown, but considering High Moon Studios, it's likely.
