- The Cloran are a metaphor for the Autobots from the Marvel Comics portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Cloran are a peaceful technorganic race that live in fear of the tyrannical Zenag.
Fiction
Marvel Comics UK continuity
After yet another attack by Zenag's army, the Cloran encountered Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Prowl, recently arrived from Earth. They pleaded with the Autobots to protect them, and Prime was able to keep the opressors out of their territory.
It was later revealed that the Cloran were part of an illusion perpetuated by parasitic creatures native to Limbo, who were intent on feeding on the negative emotions they generated in their hosts. Distant Thunder!
