Stopgap is a Maximal from the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Stopgap is a highly-trained member of the elite Maximal Command Security Force. His job is to uphold the will of the Maximal Imperium on Cybertron in the name of the Pax Cybertronia. Having honed his skills as a private investigator, forensic scientist and crime scene investigator on the planet Edaps, Stopgap can find out a lot about a crime with even the scantest of clues. Notes

  • Stopgap—like all of the MCSF—uses the Cybertron-series Clocker toy as a base (with a modified Machine Wars Skywarp/Thundercracker head), though no official Stopgap toy exists (and probably never will). His color scheme is based somewhat loosely on the Beast Wars II Maximal Diver.
  • Names for the Maximal Command Security Force were originally revealed by user icons of the characters in the Transformers Collectors Club forum and profiles from within the fanclub magazine.
