Genericons are a Decepticon sub-faction from the IDW continuity portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Genericons are Decepticon cannon fodder used in the frontlines, distinguished from regular Decepticon soldiers by a color variance in their faction symbols.

Two Genericons, who were also members of Triple M, came to Delphi seeking asylum, and were put in custody. Later on it was revealed they shared a branched spark and would need to be conjoined in order to save their lives. That operation never came as an outbreak of Red Rust. They later broke out of their confinement and cornered Ratchet, Pharma, and Ambulon for revenge of being in Autobot custody for so long.
