Operation Combination was a Japanese-exclusive series during Generation 1.

The Operation Combination storyline began in February, 1992 and ended in November, 1992.

Story

Operation Combination, story-wise, takes place at the same time as Battlestars. Operation Combination focuses on several combiner warriors, both Autobot and Decepticon.

Scrash, the Decepticon Fuhrer, sends Battle Gaia and a troop of Decepticons to take Earth. The Autobots, headlined by Guard City defend the planet.

Operation Combination is a continuation of the animated series continuity, however, nothing of Operation Combination was ever actually animated. Instead, the stories were told exclusively through "story pages", 2-page magazine spreads of montage art with narrative text smattered all over the place.
