Transformer afterlife

The name or term "Matrix" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Matrix (disambiguation).

The Allspark

The "Well of All Sparks," or simply The Allspark, is a dimension through which all living things -- past, present, and future -- are connected. A single Transformer's lifeforce, or Spark, leaves the Allspark when it is born and returns to it when it dies. Collectively, the sparks that compose the Allspark are the essence of Primus.

The Allspark is sometimes referred to as the Matrix. This can be confusing, as the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, a tangible artifact which acts as a gateway to the Allspark, can also be called "the Matrix."
