Log-in Problem

[edit]

Hi Suki Brits, I log-in, go to edit a page and I get this message: Have you forgotten to log in? A user name helps you track your contributions and communicate with other users. If you don't log in, your IP address will show up in the page history. I use Firefox as my browser and I was hoping you tell me how to fix this problem. 69.19.14.19 18:39, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

I left a response on your talk page, which I'm linking to here in case you actually have a rotating IP address and aren't automatically informed. --Suki Brits 05:10, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Image Uploading

[edit]

Hi,

I'm having problems with image uploading. When I use the toolbar to upload I can browse, select and rename a file just fine, but when I get to the caption/thumbnail window nothing works (size slider, right/left indicator) and the Upload Image button doesn't work at all. Am I the only person with these problems? I'm using Firefox 2.0 on a Mac. I tried to upload an image yesterday, but I couldn't find it on the Upload Log.

Thanks for any help or suggestions. I'm going over to the Help section to see if I'm doing something wrong.--Suzyprime 13:03, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. I will try your suggestion.--Suzyprime 13:12, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Head wars

[edit]

Please visit the Talk:Megatron (Movie) page, read the head wars discussion, and give me your answer. Thank you. The Big Q 19:38, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm.

I don't think you should tell jokes in a computer encyclopedia like here. Black rhino ranger 16:07, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Ahem. --ItsWalky 16:12, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Oh God, we've got a live one.--RosicrucianTalk 16:10, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

One what? Black rhino ranger 11:01, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

One person who thinks they can show up out of nowhere and tell all the long-time contributors to this wiki that they're doing it wrong. JW 11:40, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm spamming

[edit]

Canvassing a few talkpages here so we can get folks to weigh in and finalize the potential Wiki image policy. Your input would be appreciated at Transformers Wiki talk:Images.--RosicrucianTalk 18:34, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Stub-striking Sock Puppets?

[edit]

You already gave one person a time-out for deleting random stuff from pages. It seems we have one or two other IPs exhibiting similar behavior. Or it could be one guy with a dynamic IP, I guess.--Apcog 14:17, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

De nada, happy to be of help.--Apcog 18:16, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Someone's still at it. Didn't learn from the one-day vacation, it seems.--Apcog 07:00, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Burgeoning Pest

[edit]

Someone new is starting to make a nuisance of him/herself. Perhaps not worth action yet, but worth watching just in case, I think.--Apcog 20:35, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Account exists but it doesn't

[edit]

Hi. This is actually Aurax, but in my inactivity here (spanning quite some time, as I look now), my account had gone inactive or had some other wire disconnected. Trying to login with the credentials I know to be correct, and I'm notified that the username Aurax doesn't exist. If I attempt to create the account again, I'm given a different error message that looks like a holdover from Wikia error scripts. If this is something that will be healed following the crash, I'm fine with that. I just couldn't find anything relating to this in discussion of the crash anywhere in the Damage Control or Community Portal areas. The email in my profile is good if you want to get in touch, or I'll keep checking back here and on my page. 71.191.107.74 01:04, 3 May 2009 (EDT)

You should be able to recreate this by using the exact same verification as your old Wikia account. If it doesn't match, it should prevent you from grabbing the username.--RosicrucianTalk 01:08, 3 May 2009 (EDT)
I just went back to Teletraan I to check my account there. I'm using the same credentials on both sites (and I've been equally as inactive over there, so it wouldn't have changed after the split). Aurax aka 71.191.107.74 02:58, 3 May 2009 (EDT)

"Fixed" Monobook

[edit]
...but also fixing some REALLY BAD DESIGN in Monobook. why the hell is everything absolutely positioned?{{#if:|{{{quote2}}}}}{{#if:|{{{2}}}{{#if:|, {{{3}}}|}}|}}

See the results in the image on the right. I've checked, it's the changes from absolute to relative that did it, and have patched my user CSS accordingly. - SanityOrMadness 14:47, 10 June 2009 (EDT)

Oh, whoops, my bad. I forgot that we still have plain Monobook installed, using a different file. I've moved the changes to a Monacobook specific CSS file now. --Suki Brits 15:02, 10 June 2009 (EDT)

rel=nofollow

[edit]

Pursuant to discussion @ Affiliate Sites about sites TFWiki.net frequently links to, I'm requesting that rel=nofollow be disabled for the following sites:

These are the sites supported by Template:External. Please note that rel=nofollow had been disabled for Wookieepedia prior to the Bookworm crash-- it was apparently accidentally re-set at some point either during our recovery or the subsequent move. -Derik 14:20, 14 July 2009 (EDT)

Question

[edit]

Just one simple question. Why you built a second Transformers Wiki website? Isn't having one Teletran-1 the Transformers wiki at Wikia is good enough? (Dr L 20:00, 15 September 2009 (EDT))

Another question. Why would anyone split the Starscream (G1) page?(Dr L 17:52, 10 October 2009 (EDT))
