Soundwave is a heroic Decepticon from the Shattered Glass Animated continuity family.

This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.

Soundwave was once one of Isaac Sumdac's sonic attack robots, but then Megatron got hold of him, and he began using his sonic weapons in the name of good.

Fiction

The AllSpark Almanac Addendum

Megatron stole one of Sumdac's robots, turning it into Soundwave. Soundwave's sonic weapons were repurposed to turn all of Sumdac's other robots playful and happy. Much later, Soundwave teamed up with a group of Detroit's superheroes—Amiable Archer, Millisec, Private Princess, and Cyrus—to form the Heroic Youths Battling Robots Infesting Detroit. Soundwave trapped the evil Autobots in a VR world and attempted to brainwash them into being good. The affair ground to a halt when Sari Sumdac teamed up with a motley collection of hobobots and freed the Autobots, who smashed Soundwave. The AllSpark Almanac Addendum
