- Hot Spot is an Autobot Protectobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Hot Spot is the leader of the Autobot subgroup Protectobots and forms the head and body of the combiner named Defensor. Hot Spot transforms from robot to blue fire engine.

After being sent to Earth by Optimus Prime to counter a rebuilt Megatron, nearly all of his team were destroyed. Weary and on the brink of shut-down, Hot Spot self-destructed to keep Cybertronian technology out of the hands of Cobra.
