So many fond memories of painfully limited 1970s animation...

Cartoon Quest was a 4-hour cartoon programming block that ran early mornings on The Sci-Fi Channel from 1992 to 1995. Cartoon Quest aired numerous science fiction-related cartoons during its three year run, including Star Trek: The Animated Series, Return to the Planet of the Apes, Little Shop and Galaxy High. The programming block was "hosted" by a loincoth-clad family stranded on an alien planet, exploring its strange regions during commercial bumpers.

Cartoon Quest reran The Transformers, though the episodes were edited for time in order to accommodate longer commercial breaks. It also implemented a unique version of the title sequence, which featured the season 2 animation set to the season 3 rendition of the theme song.

In 1995, The Sci-Fi Channel replaced Cartoon Quest with the Animation Station block, which continued to rerun episodes of The Transformers in the time-edited format.
