Shrapnel was part of a massive Decepticon invasion force intended to ruin the Autobots' picnic. However, Optimus Prime plowed through them with his truck and left them scattered... and then left. Returning to the scene after.. ahem, taking care of some pressing business, Optimus gathered up the still-wiped-out Kreons, bound them up on a flatbed trailer, and took them to the picnic. Emergency! Hurry to the Base, Optimus!
Notes
- Like all non-toy robot Kreons in these comics, Shrapnel is made from existing Kre-O parts. He uses the Mirage helmet, and has a pincer-backpack of undefined connectivity... but it's doable. A 1x1 harness, a 1x1 "headlamp", a 1x1 double-clip plate, two 1x2 plates with bars, two 1x1 single-clips, and two claw-pieces. It's a bit awkward and back-heavy, but it does work and align with the comic design.
