The Roxxon Oil security guard is, of course, an employee of Roxxon Oil. He works at the company's Research and Development Plant in Portland, Oregon. He is a good guard, but his ethics leave much to be desired.

The security guard caught Professor Morris using Roxxon's facilities for his own purposes, and immediately recognized it as an opportunity to extort about 2000 bucks out of the professor. And just for good measure, he pointed his gun at the professor to emphasize his point. Still, he might have gotten away with that if he had been threatening anyone else than Morris, who was not all there at the time and in the possession of a giant robot. The guard ended up killed. The Icarus Theory Morris turned himself in for his crime, though oddly he had a lawyer that tried to argue that the guard was more likely killed by a trespassing vandal. In the National Interest
