| This article is about the Autobot from GT. For the Autobot from Operation Combination, see Safety. |
- Safety Prime is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Safety Prime (セーフティプライム Sēfuti Puraimu) is the Autobot Commander assigned to Super GT motorsports. Given life in conjunction with the establishment of the Transformers GT, he oversees any and all activity on the race track, with unblinking awareness of everything that goes on there at all times. Safety Prime knows all, sees all, and everybody knows they'd better not break any of his rules and regulations. He chums around with Ai, who manages to get along pretty well with him despite his stern demeanour.

Safety Prime was overseeing a race between Prime, Saber and Maximus when it was rudely interrupted Megatron, who attacked the contestants. He went in with Ai to put a stop to the intruder, only to be swiftly defeated by a kick to the face. Transformers GT: Mission GT-R

- Safety Prime (Original Ver.) (2013)
- Safety Prime is part of the "Cybertron Satellite" promotion wherein select towns and neighborhoods had their own "mascots". Unlike most of the other characters in the promotion, rather than be assigned to a specific region of the country, Safety Prime was instead created as a mascot for the TakaraTomy-sponsored "Kids Walk" events events held by Super GT in 2013, with whom the company was collaborating on their Transformers GT toyline. He is the only Town Commander to have received a toy thus far, which was given away free at the walks to participating children. Like all Town Commanders, Safety Prime is based on a pre-existing Legends Class figure; specifically, he is a redeco of Transformers Reveal the Shield Prowl, his alternate mode reworked—appropriately enough—into a motorsport safety car.
