The Transformers cartoon
Professor Haley held a conference at Haley Observatory in order to present his new invention to a crowd of scientists and reporters. The demonstration was surprisingly successful and managed to successfully contact alien life — the Decepticons. Starscream blew a hole in the top of the observatory, severely damaging the radio telescope, so that Megatron could retrieve the Voltronic Galaxer to use in their latest nefarious scheme.
Although Haley put out a distress call to the Autobots, they were held up due to Blaster inadvertently jamming the airwaves. By the time Optimus Prime and his men arrived at the observatory, the Decepticons were long gone. Blaster Blues
