Animus

Animus is an Autobot from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

"Groundbreaker? I hardly know 'er!"

Animus is a member of the Ethics Committee. Ironically, he lied to get on it.

He turns into the Thundertank!

Animus served on the Ethics Committee meetings at the Kimia Facility, alongside Trailbreaker and Xaaron. He sat in consideration of Ironfist's new invention, cerebro-sensitive bullets that used onboard computers to ensure a killshot to the head with every pull of the trigger. Bullets Animus was still at Kimia when it was raided by Cyclonus and an army of Sweeps. His wrecked bestial alt mode was seen amongst the casualties. Lamentations

He somehow survived, however, and later joined the Lost Light mission to find the Knights of Cybertron. Notes

• His death at the hands of the Sparkeater revealed that Animus possessed a green spark. Although seemingly irrelevant at the time, information has since come to light revealing that Animus may have been a Point One Percenter.
