Transformers: Age of Extinction — The Score is an album featuring music composed by Steve Jablonsky for the live-action sequel Age of Extinction. The digital download version was released on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play on July 4, 2014. On October 7th, 2014, LA-LA-LAND Records released the uncompressed score album in CD format, limited to 3,000 units with the first 100 copies sold containing CD booklets autographed by composer Steve Jablonsky. This album contains roughly 75 minutes of music.

Tracks

The score contains 75 minutes of the film score. Typical with album versions, some cues have been mixed or edited differently than the final film versions, and occasionally are alternate takes or intentionally different album recordings.

  20. Drive Backwards (2:05) - Shane drives the group's car backwards to try to escape Lockdown's magnet.
  21. Honor to the End (5:18) - Optimus, Cade, Tessa, Shane, and Bumblebee fight Lockdown.
  22. Leave Planet Earth Alone (3:47) - The Autobots and their new human friends regroup, and after freeing the Dinobots, Optimus departs to confront the Creators.
  23. The Knight Ship (3:21) - The Creators cyberform Earth, causing the KT extinction event 65 million years ago; the Autobots stow away on Lockdown's ship.

'For Your Consideration' promotional score

Paramount unveiled a "For Your Consideration" promo, which included (with the exception of the car chase cues - which appear to be heavily edited "film versions") mostly complete cues directly from the recording sessions for most of the movie score. Usually mixed differently from original soundtrack releases and without typical "album edits", each track includes clean starts and endings of each cue surrounded by a few seconds of silence at the beginning and ending of each.
