- The Rider of Midwinter is a legendary figure from the Rescue Bots cartoon portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Since the 18th century, every midwinter morning a mysterious figure known as the Rider of Midwinter has visited Griffin Rock, leaving loaves of bread for all of the townsfolk. Though no one knows who the original rider was, over the years the role has been played in secret by one of the town's many citizens, keeping the legend alive.

In the particularly harsh winter of 1713, the population of Griffin Rock ran out of food, only for a mysterious stranger to distribute loaves of bread. As a yearly tradition, this carried on with various folk including Mrs Crabtree, Old Man Delgado, and Mrs Neederlander playing the part. Three centuries later, another harsh winter struck the town and an ferry accident resulted in the townsfolk losing their presents. Mrs Neederlander, finding herself without a car, called the island's rescue team to her cabin and asked them to deliver the loaves of bread. When they successfully did so, she passed on the mantle of Rider of Midwinter to them. The Riders of Midwinter
