Yūsha (or Brave, also known as the Brave series) is a franchise that Takara created after the Generation One storyline ran its course in Japan.
Relationship to Transformers
- Some Brave toys were redecos or retools of G1 toys; mostly from the end of the G1 line such as Deathsaurus, Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber, Grandus and Sky Garry.
- Some other characters who did not actually get toys were based on Transformers models. Mostly villains. Hm.
- Most fictions of the Brave series is influenced by Japanese Transformers (especially Victory), particularly the interaction between the Braves and the kids.
- The Japanese Mini-Con Kingbolt's coloration and characterization are homages to the Brave series Exkaiser.
- The Cybertron cartoon featured many homages to the Brave series King Of Braves GaoGaiGar, most notably the way Optimus Prime combines with Leobreaker and Wing Saber, which is similar to the way GaoGaiGar combined with Goldion and StealthGao.

Footnote
- ↑ There are always three combiners as protagonists at the begining from every Brave production, except for GaoGaiGar and Baan Gaan. The leading one is a robot able to power up with his partner and will be power up again with a new partner in later episodes. Just like Saber can power up with V Star to become Star Saber and later combines with Victory Leo to form Victory Saber. This can also apply to Ginrai. The second one is a combiner formed by three members, like Road Caesar. The third one is often a combiner formed by at least four members (except for Ultra Raker, Shadow-maru and Captain Shark), like Landcross.
