Data discs are a form of storage media used by Transformers.
Fiction
Tales of the Beast Hunters
Shockwave kept the information in his laboratory stored on data discs. Smokescreen managed to steal a number of them, though most of those he stole were damaged in a battle with the Decepticon. Ratchet still managed to retrieve information from a few of them, including Shockwave's cloning process and data on some weapons from a derelict ship. Tales of the Beast Hunters Chapter 13

- The data-disc-based toys are all designed to interact with the Voyager Soundwave, Blaster, and Soundblaster toys, which have a storage compartment in the chest in which the Mini-cons can be stored in data disc form. A launching mechanism causes the data discs to pop out and spring open into robot mode.
