Minion of Unicron (Universe)

The Minions of Unicron are a faction of Unicron-aligned Transformers from multiple realities involved in the Universe War.

Minions of Unicron serve one purpose: guiding Unicron, the Dark God of Chaos, towards his rightful place of dominance at the End of All Things. Some have entered communion with the Planet Eater of their own accord, but it is the countless blackened sparks culled from the multiverse that puts existence itself in peril. Once noble Transformers, the psychic tendrils of Unicron's influence corrupts them, remaking them in his lightless image, mind, body, and spark. With each spark consumed, Unicron's damaged form grows stronger, ever nearing fully-restored consciousness; with each spark consumed, the Allspark diminishes as Primus, the Lord of Light, is slowly eaten away. Primus has responded by gathering an army of his own, and the clashes between the two forces are known as the Universe War.

The Decepticon sigil is frequently worn by Minions of Unicron, despite the fact that Decepticons are descended from Primus, and several Decepticons are not such Minions.

Universe CD-ROM

On a Cybertron, that universe's Optimus Primal was leading the Autobots Snarl, Silverbolt, and Striker against the Decepticons Reptillion [sic], Obsidian, Tankor, Razorclaw, and Blackarachnia in the most intense day of fighting that year. Just as the combatants were beating the slag out of each other, they were interrupted by a mysterious spaceship that swooped down, sucked the Decepticons up on beams of light, and flew away. The Autobots were left dumbfounded, and within the ship, the captives were just as clueless. Even when they reached their destination, Reptillion had no answer for Tankor's question of where they were. In truth, they were inside Unicron, who was gathering a Decepticon army for a grand war. This comic shows no signs of being intended to mesh with other Universe fiction. There are inconsistencies in many of its elements, but given that Universe is entirely ABOUT alternate dimensions, it could still be a side note to the greater storyline. Razorclaw is one of the few characters who could conceivably be the same ones who show up in the main Universe comic, but it is up to the reader to decide if that is the case.

"You know it, I know it, and the American people know it."

His body ruined and trapped in between universes, Unicron sought to fully regain his strength. He began abducting Transformers from all realities and all eras to fight gladiatorial matches in the Cauldron, where the by-product energon radiation as well as losers' sparks would repair him. Unicron selected Razorclaw, Obsidian, Tankor, and Reptilion to serve as his four generals in the Cauldron. Abduction

Meanwhile, Primus and Alpha Trion of Primax 797.18 Epsilon sought to fight back. They started forming an army by resurrecting Optimus Primal and having him infiltrate the Cauldron. Reptilion and Striker noticed Primal and attacked him, but Primal's new allies Grimlock and Megatron knocked them out. OTFCC 2003 live-action script reading Primal then used his spark telepathy to reach Striker's spark and free him from Unicron's influence. Primal then proceeded to try to free more captives, but this attracted the attention of Razorclaw. Primal fought off Razorclaw while Trailbreaker and Silverbolt engineered a mass jailbreak. The Minions tried to stop the escape but failed when Snarl was able to open a portal back to Primal's techno-organic Cybertron. However, Blackarachnia and Shadow Striker were too far corrupted by the Unicron virus that was intended to sway abductees to evil thoughts. The duo stayed behind to join the Minions. Blackarachnia was greeted by the undead Tarantulas, who noted that the real war had yet to begin. Escape

Tarantulas sent Blackarachnia with a squad of Piranacons to the Cybertron of Primax 797.18 Epsilon to destroy Vector Sigma. However, they ran into resistance in Rattrap and Depth Charge. Homecoming

Some time later, Rhinox had built a device to deflect Unicron's attempts to pull victims from other universes. The Children of Primus deflected two such attempts, but were only partially successful: instead of being transported to Unicron, the victims ended up on a frozen planetoid. The Children deployed a rescue party consisting of Rattrap, Silverbolt, and Waspinator to help the victims, but Unicron sent Reptilion, Sunstorm, Ruination, and Perceptor after them as well. The Minions tried to re-capture the victims, but the rescue party and the victims worked together to drive the Minions off.

The tale of the Universe War was halted here for a time, as Hasbro had revoked 3H's license to the Transformers property. But the story would be concluded in Fun Publications' Cybertron comic and referenced in a few character profiles in the club magazine.

Cybertron comic

Optimus Primal continued to take the Children on raids within Unicron's internal "prison cities", freeing more captives. Primal then embarked on an even more proactive venture, leading teams to other universes in anticipation of Unicron's strikes and setting up defensive measures before the Chaos-Bringer could gather more victims. Months passed as the competing armies grew, their battles raging on a level comparable to the Great Wars. Cybertron itself remained stable, but only for a time. The planet fell victim to a massive invasion, later called "the Culling", in which Unicron's Minions swept across the globe in a killing frenzy, with the sparks of their victims feeding the Chaos-Bringer. Primal's army fended the invaders off, but, in the chaotic aftermath, Primal's earlier fears were realized as Megatron returned to lead the Predacons back to glory. Continued raids saved many more captives and brought the Minions to near-defeat. Then as one raiding party of Children fought Minions in the Pit, Unicron suddenly began to disappear (as a result of the Unicron Singularity). The raiders rapidly teleported away, presumably back to safety on Primal's technorganic Cybertron while the Minions were left to their doom. Revelations Part 2
