Lorenzo di Bonaventura

Lorenzo di Bonaventura (born 1957) is an American film producer, long-time collaborator of Michael Bay, and the godfather of pretty much every single blockbuster Transformers film. During the 1990s he served as an executive at Warner Bros. Pictures, climbing up the ranks to become President of Worldwide Production. While at Warner, some of his more noteworthy accomplishments included discovering and overseeing the production of The Matrix trilogy of movies (which starred Hugo Weaving) (yay!) as well as securing the rights to the Harry Potter series (boo!) before leaving in 2002 to form his own production company based at Paramount Pictures.

Outside of the Transformers brand, some of his other projects include all three G.I. Joe films, Keanu Reeves' cult classic Constantine, the fourth sequel to The Hunt for Red October, and Madame Web.
