When a series of frequent low-level earthquakes began occurring in Japan, Hound, Beachcomber and Perceptor travelled to the country to attend a lecture given by Professor Ōnishi on the subject. While the Autobots were talking with the professor after the lecture, another quake struck, prompting Ōnishi to give voice to one theory he had been holding back: none of the recent quakes had been preceded by the occasional natural phenomenon known as "earthquake clouds". Hound suspect this might mean the quakes were being generated artificially, and he was correct: the tremors were the result of a Decepticon scheme. Activation
