• Starscream Clone Black Version (EZ Collection, 2010)

A redeco of Legends Starscream in transparent plastic (with some opaque black parts). He was only available at Jusco stores in Japan, given away for free to customers who purchased Animated Ultra Magnus on August 6th.

This mold was also used to make Thundercracker Clear Blue Ver., Sunstorm Clear Orange Ver., Ramjet Clear White Ver., and Skywarp Clear Purple Ver.

Maybe he represents Starscream's lack of originality.

• While named "Starscream Clone Black Ver." on the TakaraTomy website, the instructions included with the figure spell out "Starscream Clone Black Version" in katakana.
• The fact of the "Starscream Clone Black Version" toy representing an original character, based solely on his name, is an admittedly specious proposition. However, the TakaraTomy webpage[1] detailing their Starscream clone-themed promotion shows the black Starscream clone standing with the preexisting clones around what is plainly the original Starscream (see right), which would seem to counteract the possibility that "Starscream Clone Black Version" is just Starscream or another clone with a black body or something along those lines. Hello, nebulous toy-original character!
