Lanarq was plunged deep in a war with neighboring world Xetaxxis, turning to the Quintessons for greater and more destructive weapons. After this war had raged for centuries, devastating both worlds, it came to the point where both races would be wiped out entirely. The Autobots arranged for a peace conference, and the Lanarqans dispatched a delegation to meet with a group of Xetaxxans.

Talks quickly broke down, and the Lanarqans stormed out, promising decisive action. They contacted their Quintesson suppliers, who reported that the weapon they ordered would soon be delivered. This done, the Lanarqan fleet fired on the Xetaxxis ships, which responded in kind. The Lanarqan and Xetaxxan delegates resumed brawling, despite the best efforts of Rodimus and Ultra Magnus, until Sky Lynx arrived with a Quintesson Journal. The revelation that the Quintessons had been keeping the war going so they could supply guns to both Lanarq and Xetaxxis effectively ended the war, with both races agreeing to keep to their own worlds.
