Bryan Hitch is a British comic book artist, known for his work on titles such as Wildstorm's Stormwatch (vol. 2) and The Authority (both together with writer Warren Ellis), DC's JLA (with writer Mark Waid) and the Ultimate Marvel titles The Ultimates and The Ultimates 2 (with writer Mark Millar). In the late 1980s, long before doing work on those titles which brought him fame, he did pencils for various issues of Marvel UK's Transformers comic, as well as pencilling the first five issues of Death's Head. He now often claims that this was the work of a different Bryan Hitch.
He currently employs a widescreen, photo-realistic drawing style, but sure as hell didn't when drawing giant robots... until he was hired by Titan to provide the cover for the hardcover edition of their End of the Road collection, for which he used his modern drawing style.
He almost became a priest, until deciding that his lack of belief in god didn't quite gel with the job description.[1]
A return, of sorts, to drawing Transformers was made in a recent issue of Fantastic Four, where Reed Richard's giant anti-Galactus robot bore an uncanny resemblance to a certain Cybertronian leading man...
