Transformers: Beast Wars II, possibly also titled Greatest Showdown in History (史上最大の対決 Shijō Saidai no Taiketsu), is an arcade game developed by Sigma Enterprises, and published in 1998 by Takara for Japanese markets. It is a quick draw one-on-one fighter, pitting Lio Convoy against Galvatron.
Gameplay

Beast Wars II is a medal game, a type of gambling/redemption based arcade game. Rather than real money, the player spends medals (metal coins comparable to arcade tokens) in the hopes of winning more medals, which can then be spent to play more games or exchanged with the arcade staff for prizes.
In the game, medals fed into the machine add to a pot on Galvatron's side. The player must then wager three of these to activate combat, with Lio Convoy and Galvatron transforming to robot mode. The player, controlling Lio Convoy, has to quickly press one of three attack buttons when prompted. Depending on the speed of input and choice of attack, damage will be dealt to either or both of the characters. A second round (set on the moon!) acts as a decider. Depending on their performance, the player's stake will increase (or be lost) and can be cashed out from Galvatron's pot.
Notes
- The game features a looped sample of the Beast Wars II cartoon's first opening theme, "Get My Future".
- It also has spoken dialogue for both characters, seemingly provided by their cartoon voice actors, Hozumi Gōda and Tetsuo Komura.
- The title "Greatest Showdown in History" appears (in Japanese) in the style of an anime title card, at the end of the game's attract roll.
