Emergency warp-out

Emergency warp-out is a technology from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

When the Decepticons need to retreat in a hurry, they can use an emergency warp-out. It instantly transports them away from combat, where they disappear in a purple glow. Emergency warp-outs are very energy intensive. Megatron estimated that it would drain their energy reserves for stellar-cycles. But that was before he knew about Ore-13.
