Survive
- Survive is a Maximal from the Beast Wars Neo portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

When you're a Maximal soldier under the instruction of Survive (サバイブ Sabaibu), you don't just drop and give him twenty, you drop and give him twenty-thousand. In the rain. While he kicks you in the ribs. Then you get up, thank him and ask for another. The most notorious drill instructor in the Maximal Military Academy, the mere utterance of his name is enough to send tremors of awe and terror through any new recruit who hears it. Survive firmly believes that a military unit lives and dies by the quality of its teamwork, and the best way to bond a team of misfits is by making them trudge through Hell together. So give 'em Hell is exactly what Survive does. And he's very good at it.
Naturally, Survive despises Big Convoy, the self-proclaimed "One-Man Army" who eschews teamwork and camaraderie. The two don't get along in the slightest and Survive's animosity toward the solitary Supreme Commander often extends to Big Convoy's recruits, whom he views as the weak result of poor leadership and discipline.
Basically, he's robot bear Sgt. Slaughter. His drone partner in combat is True One.

Many years ago, Survive and Big Convoy had a falling out over their views on leadership and teamwork (Survive believed that teamwork was essential, Big Convoy wanted to go it alone).
During the war with Magmatron, Survive was drawn to the planet Stero, searching for a lost Angolmois capsule. When Big Convoy's Maximal new recruits ventured onto the planet's surface to search for the capsule, Survive ambushed them and beat them to a pulp as a means to test their strength. He was extremely disappointed with their cohesiveness and let Big Convoy know it in no uncertain terms. True One then alerted him to the arrival of the Predacons, led by Killer Punch (who had placed an Angolmois beacon on Stero to lure the Maximals into a trap). Survive usurped Big Convoy's authority and took command of the new recruits, intending to whip them into shape before facing the enemy.
His training involved first sending Heinrad out to face all the Predacons alone. The Maximals watched their friend get wrecked, with the lesson being that going it alone against a whole team is stupid. Survive then ordered all the Maximals into battle to fight each Predacon one-on-one. This also ended poorly for the new recruits, infuriating Survive who couldn't understand why his leadership tactics weren't working. Survive was then tackled by Killer Punch who pressed a blade to his face. Luckily, Big Convoy decided to return and saved Survive's neck. Big Convoy then barked orders at his recruits, who followed them dutifully and were able to overcome the Predacons as a team.
When all was said and done, Survive was forced to admit that Big Convoy had indeed changed and learned the value of teamwork. He conceded that Big Convoy was a worthy leader of his recruits and saluted the Supreme Commander.Survive the Hot-Blooded Instructor
After the defeat of Unicron, Survive returned to Cybertron. There, he fought with Killer Punch. Graduation Ceremony!!

Survive usually took on the rejects of the Maximal Military Academy and whipped them up to shape. Beast Wars Sourcebook 4
Alongside Tasmania Kid and Cohrada, Survive came with Big Convoy to investigate Shokaract's tower after various Angolmois-related murders. When Shokaract himself soon emerged from the tower and attacked them, Survive fought back, but was quickly killed along with his teammates. The Ascending #3
Fortunately, the Pack managed to use the magic of time travel to interrupt Shokaract before Survive and the others met their end at his hands (except Tasmania Kid, who died regardless). In this new timeline, Big Convoy's team traveled to the Pack's crashed starship and had the situation explained to them. With the Pack and several other Maximals and Predacons on their side, Survive and the others ultimately managed to foil Shokaract's plans. The Ascending #4
