Eddie and Matt re-engineered Isaac Sumdac's nanotechnology (which had previously gone monstrously awry) so as to be a convenient solution to Detroit's current garbage problem. They then reported to the acting CEO of Sumdac Systems, Porter C. Powell, telling him both of their improvements and that the nanobots would be far more cost-effective than the current waste disposal robots. Powell decided to charge the city of Detroit an arm and a leg for 'em anyway. Garbage In, Garbage Out
