Transformers: Devastation is an upcoming video game by PlatinumGames, announced at E3 2015. It is based in the Generation 1 continuity family, and features the return of many of the surviving voice actors from the original cartoon.[2] Gameplay footage from E3 2015 showed the game to be very much like the Japanese Ps2 Transformers: Call of the Future in that it is a beat 'em up using transformation, using combo attacks, chained attacks and character based attacks, in forced sized areas with a in depth story, a number of generic and well known enemies, but with a much smaller character list and only one playable side.[3]

Gameplay

Devastation is a fast-paced hack-and-slash brawler, similar to many of Platinum's other titles like Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Players choose from five Autobots (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Wheeljack and Grimlock) and battle Decepticons using various physical attacks. Players can chain these attacks into a combo, as well as extend their combos and utilize new moves by strategically transforming back and forth between vehicle and robot modes during strings of attacks. Each of the five Autobots has a different set of moves, as well as a unique super attack that can be utilized after certain requirements are met.
