Transit plate

Transit plates are vehicles used by the city-dwellers. They are large disc that use anti-gravitational propulsion to carry their passengers about. Multiple transit-plates can be stacked together to conserve space, and then split off from one another when the extra plates are needed for additional passengers.

When the cargo plane carrying Jeff Grey, Hot Rod, and the other humans in their entourage was shot down, the group found themselves stranded in the frigid cold of the Antarctic. The city-dwellers quickly appeared, and offered to give them a ride back to their subterranean city on their transit plates. Jeff's group accepted the offer. Battle Beneath the Ice
