Transformer twins often share a closer connection than other forms of Transformer relatives.

Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were fraternal twin brothers. Fiction at the time never explored the details of this relationship, or if there was such a thing as identical twins.

Roulette and Shadow Striker are twins, or perhaps even triplets with their perished sister. Roulette and Shadow Striker have the same body-type, but what makes them twins is unexplained.

Later fiction (incorporating the concepts of sparks and protoforms retroactively) revealed that brothers were formed when a spark that was being introduced to a protoform naturally split.
