Megatron mass-produces Nightbird Shadow for the Legends market.
Synopsis
In a floor show in Akihabara, Chairman Megatron shows off the Tera-Kura Co.'s latest product, the ninja maid robot Nightbird Shadow. He explains to his subordinates that this robot was originally created by the Japanese in his home universe before being brainwashed into a Decepticon, and now he's brought her to the Legends Universe in case she comes in handy. After Nightbird Shadow shows off her new ability to transform into a car, audience member Scuba comments that a maid that's also a ninja seems kinda dangerous, but President Megatron assures him she's completely safe: they've namely programmed a "clumsiness" function into her that causes her to fall over at random times, negating any danger! The audience finds Nightbird Shadow's clumsiness charming and promptly reserve Nightbirds of their own, and so Tera-Kura begin mass-producing clones of the ninja robot for retail.
Unfortunately, as soon as the Nightbird clones reach the masses, they go out of control and rampage through the city, something G1 Megatron credits to the unquenchable evil of their Decepticon souls. An angry Beast Wars Megatron questions why they were even selling an outright evil product, but the chairman retorts that this is exactly why he'd included the clumsiness function and shows that the Nightbird clones are already slipping on banana peels, crashing into buildings and getting stuck in things. Beast Wars Megatron subsequently offers a public apologogy and announces that all Nightbirds will be withdrawn, but to his surprise, his customers protest that they like the current Nightbirds, saying clumsy girls are even better with a mischievous streak to them. G1 Megatron claims this was all part of his plan, though Beast Wars Megatron has his doubts.

Notes
- Megatron captured and reprogrammed Nightbird in the original cartoon episode "Enter the Nightbird", in which she first appeared. The episode ended with Nightbird being retrieved and placed in storage, but apparently Megatron got hold of her again between then and now.
- Nightbird was previously mass-produced in the Universe comic "Departure".
- There's no explanation as to why Nightbird is "Nightbird Shadow" now, but presumably it has something to do with trademark. It only seems to apply to the original, as the clones are merely referred to as Nightbirds.
