Does anyone else have an inexplicable, irrational hatred for the use of the term "Sunbow cartoon" to describe the G1 cartoon and want to see it stamped out forever, or is that just me? --KilMichaelMcC 08:13, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

It is cumbersome.

But I'm using it against the day we get another Generation 1 cartoon and everythign needs to be changed. (We have multiple G1 comics, id'd by companies.) Find me another term that meets that need and I shall use it. -Derik 08:48, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Wait, what the hell are you doing? 'animated continuity'? Then why is Headmasters in a DIFFERENT subsection? IT'S animated. How the hell does 'animated continuity' == the US toon when Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Scramble City, Zone etc etc etc... are also G1- but are not 'animated continuity'?

Yeah, Derik. If you hadn't noticed, the Headmasters cartoon on this (and every other page, if they're formatted right) should be a subsection of G1 animated continuity. See those little ===s? There probably should be some sort of subheading before the US toon material, though:

I. Fiction
  A. Animated continuity
  1. US toon
  2. Japanese toons
  3. Beast stuff
  4. Universe or whatever
 B. Marvel continuity
 C. Dreamwave G1 continuity
 D. IDW G1 continuity
 E. Random other things

It doesn't make sense, outline-wise, to have content at point A unless it applies to all the numbered sub-points below A (like a brief summary of all the animated continuity stuff to follow). If the events from items 2, 3, or 4 are going to be put in a subsection of A, the events from item 1 should also be in a subsection.

I disagree. I see nothing wrong with putting stuff in the higher hierarchy and then splitting it off into smaller subcategories as the continuity fragments.

(I should also note, in case you weren't just filling your proposed hierarchy with random stuff, that "Beast stuff" and "US toon" should not be in the same overarching category. They're both animated, but they're not in each other's animated continuity.) --ItsWalky 19:09, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

This depends on if we want to have the various continuities in chronological order. The way Prime's page is set up, is like Steve-O's example, sxcept the US and Japanese fiction is integrated, with the (Japan only) and (US Only) on respective subheadings, and has Seasons 1&2, TFTM, and S3 seperated by the various Japanese events. that take place vetween seasons. THat way, if you want to read cronoligacly, there's no jumping around between sections. I don'y think there's a way to get Walky's setup to work with Wiki softeare, as you can't do this:
