The Megatron from his reality was a Child of Primus during the Universe War and, as a result, was fully aware of Unicron's threat when the Chaos-Bringer showed up in this universe. Knock-on effects meant Starscream survived the war and took command of the Decepticons after Megatron's 'death', leading to an Autobot-Decepticon alliance that survived the coming of the Terrorcons, during which Megatron returned and died, and the Singularity crisis, during which Megatron returned again. Megatron upgraded into Beast Megatron rather than Galvatron here, and met his match when Optimus, upgraded to beast form to match him, slew him with Vector Prime's sword. Ask Vector Prime
