Maryland is a state located in the eastern United States of America on planet Earth. The state if the location of Andrews Air Force Base, a major human military installation, and borders the capital Washington, D.C.

It is unknown if this state is the birthplace if the human delicacy known as cookies.

The Omni Productions dub of the Victory episode "Tanker Hijack Operation" renders the setting Marine City as Maryland (pronounced Merry Land); Primus knows why.
