Marine City (マリンシティ Marin Shiti) is a city on the west coast of the United States on Earth. Its skyline is dominated by the Marine Tower, which houses the office of its chief executive, Mayor Burns.

Marine City was a pawn in a convoluted plot by Drillhorn to steal the massive oil tanker Big Baron. The Decepticons drained the gasoline tanks of all the city's gas stations from below, plunging the city into a fuel crisis. The citizenry naturally panicked, and the Autobots immediately suspected Decepticon involvement. To address the fuel crisis, Marine City's Mayor Burns requested a shipment of gasoline from a neighboring state, to be delivered in the Big Baron. Drillhorn then contacted the mayor's office, warning him that Marine City would be blown up if anyone stood between the Decepticons and the tanker. The mayor relayed this information to Star Saber. Meanwhile, the Autobot Brainmasters found the Decepticon Dinoforce in the city and learned that the Decepticons had planted a neutron bomb somewhere therein. Star Saber directed the mayor to evacuate the city and headed out to the scene himself.

Despite combing the city all night, the Autobots turned up nothing. Blacker snuck aboard the tanker to investigate and overheard Leozack gloating and showing off the remote detonator for the neutron bomb to the human crew, telling them that the bomb had been hidden at the top of the city's Marine Tower. Blacker radioed his discovery to his fellow Autobots, who found the Dinoforce waiting at the tower to attack them. Braver used the V-Star to fly to the top of the tower, and he disassembled the bomb before Leozack could detonate it. Tanker Hijack Operation

Notes

• The typically cracked-out Omni Productions dub of this episode recasts Marine City as [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Maryland|{{#if:||Maryland}}]], which is consistently pronounced "Mary Land". Accordingly, the location is moved to the east coast of the United States and the mayor is upgraded into the (unnamed) governor. The Marine Tower is renamed the "Congress Building".
