Revert Convobat/Megalligator?
http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/index.php?title=Convobat&diff=1051240&oldid=1051225 I don't want to start an edit war, but I don't agree with the above removal of content. It's established canon that micro-continuities exist involving ambiguities regarding G1 and Beast Wars. I think the images and toy info should be returned. If anything we know that these characters are based on these toys, regardless of whether Megatron/Optimus are their G1 forms, BW forms or unique individuals as brought up by Vector Prime. At the very lease the figures can be repurposed for that. --Iustitia (talk) 21:01, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- "Established canon" aka "AVP said some irrelevant shit" because Jesus God that's all everything ever is lately. That aside, we don't know what Convobat and Megaligator look like, so we cannot say that the toys are repurposed; BWU characters don't use beast modes, so the likeliness of those two particular toys being repurposed is not high. Furthermore, images and toys specifically intended for the G1 characters do not belong or apply here. Saix (talk) 21:13, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- I love AVP and I don't think those images belong here. Everyone we've seen in Beast Wars Uprising has had a new, pre-beast mode, usually based on some other toy. I think we have to assume that Megaligator and Convobat would be the same way. --Giggidy (talk) 22:30, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- Don't get me wrong, I don't outright hate AVP as much as some others here do, but I'm getting increasingly tired of editing justifications/arguments hinging on "well, AVP said..." Saix (talk) 22:40, 27 January 2016 (EST)
- Well... it is canon, so it's a valid reason to make a straightforward, non-controversial edit. On the other hand, if it's a controversial edit, I'm starting to think maybe there has to be an extra level of thought put into it. In this case, I think that it's ambiguous enough to not jump straight to an edit. If AVP said, yes, this toy existed in this universe as this character, sure, put it on there. But here we know that Convobat exists as his own bot in a universe where there are no beast modes, so it's clearly drawing from some part of the source material but not all of it. --Giggidy (talk) 22:57, 27 January 2016 (EST)
