Talk:Universe War

Note
Why is "this doesn't fit in with another story" any more useful here than on any other page? Saix (talk) 01:51, 11 February 2016 (EST)
- Because the main Universe comic depicts a multiverse-spanning war based on the damaged Unicron trapped in interdimensional space abducting from different universes by teleportation beams, not an intact Unicron in a universe's normal space abducting by a ship. - Yes, and? Different pieces of fiction are inevitably not going to jibe. Saix (talk) 09:34, 11 February 2016 (EST)
- I found myself questioning the notes removal when I noticed it in the edit history. It seems like it does little harm, and maybe some good. Why not leave it?--Giggidy (talk) 09:42, 11 February 2016 (EST)
- It's a self-indulgent and editorializing note awkwardly jammed into the middle of a fiction section. What exactly does it accomplish than to spell out the obvious to the reader? Saix (talk) 09:45, 11 February 2016 (EST)
- I guess I found the information useful and not necessarily obvious. And I'm not sure which self is being indulged, or how. --Giggidy (talk) 09:47, 11 February 2016 (EST)
- As someone not really familiar with Universe, I find it extremely confusing, and could see the value of potential clarification. However, there's already a note to the same effect on the Universe CD-ROM page, and there's really no need for it to be replicated here. -Foffy the Sheep (talk) 09:56, 11 February 2016 (EST)
- It's part of an indulgent trend to slap notes on everything to explain pedantic continuity points. And I think "lots of details don't match up" is apparent enough from reading the actual prose itself; it's a different story, and that fact doesn't really need elaboration.
