In medieval times, Aberneth the Hawk-Helmed and his Viking brethren from Giant Island Jotunheim pillaged the Scotland shores. He is a distant ancestor of Hawk.

Transformers vs. G.I. Joe

Aberneth the Hawk-Helmed followed the leader of his people, Thor FalkenHauser as they attacked the hometown of Laird Mac Cullen. Mac Cullen fell to their blades, only to be avenged by Cullen's younger brother; with the world's very first firearm, the boy killed FalkenHauser and scared the rest of the raiders into fleeing. Before he returned to his ship, Aberneth the Hawk-Helmed retrieved his leader's tomahawk. Stick To Your Guns
