Screenshots
Hi, when you upload screenshots, can you please upload them as jpegs instead of pngs? pngs take up more space. Also please take the time to give them a proper name and description. --abates (talk) 05:37, 20 March 2016 (EDT)
- To elaborate, for RID screenshots you should paste the following template into the "Summary" field and fill out the relevant information:
- {{RID2015cap|A description of what the screencap shows.|The title of the episode|The last digit of the episode's year, such as 6 for 2016}}
- Thanks. Jalaguy (talk) 05:57, 20 March 2016 (EDT)
- So long as the pose doesn't make it hard to see what the character actually looks like, it's absolutely fine to have stock art as main images rather than screenshots, and is in fact generally preferable.
- Also, please remember to also give your images descriptive filenames. Jalaguy (talk) 07:57, 20 March 2016 (EDT)
I completely understand, but when uploading from my ohone, the setting for screencaps in png, and i cant seem to change it. Sorry
Please don't upload files as PNGs. You can easily convert them to JPGs using programs like Microsoft Paint.Grum (talk) 15:49, 21 March 2016 (EDT)
- I'll be frank: please stop uploading images. You are not paying attention to any considerations like filenames, image types, page formatting, quality, or whether we actually need them. That you can only do it via your phone is not our problem and we don't have time to clean up your messes. Saix (talk) 16:13, 21 March 2016 (EDT)
Im just trying to do the site a favor, and if thats how your going respond to me trying to help then i just wont bother in future.
