Richard Newman (born October 14, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois) is a voice actor who works primarily in Canada. He is quite well known for characters such as Governor-General Phaeton in Exosquad, Daecon in Reboot, Iron Klaw in G.I. Joe Extreme, Cranky Doodle Donkey in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, M. Bison in the Street Fighter animated series, Sollozzo in The Godfather: The Game, Mr. Turtle in Franklin and many, many other roles.
In the world of dubbing, he can be heard as Emperor Dornkirk in Escaflowne and Captain Ginyu in the first English dub of Dragon Ball Z, among other roles.
