Richard Newman (born November 2, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois) is a voice actor who works primarily in Canada. He is quite well known for characters such as Governor-General Phaeton in Exosquad, Daecon in Reboot, Iron Klaw in G.I. Joe Extreme, Cranky Doodle Donkey in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, M. Bison in the Street Fighter animated series, Sollozzo in The Godfather: The Game, Mr. Turtle in Franklin, General Cryptor in Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, Bear Hugger in Punch-Out!! and many, many other roles.
In the world of anime dubbing, he can be heard as Emperor Dornkirk in The Vision of Escaflowne, Golem on Monster Rancher, Keroberos/Kerberos in Cardcaptor Sakura, Totosai on InuYasha, Maysa on Mega Man NT Warrior, Rachmann in Black Lagoon and Captain Ginyu, Porunga and also one of the voices of Oolong in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z, among other roles.
