I want to tell you about the Transformers!

The Toxic Transformer

Toy

Generation 1

  • Black Tracks (2002)
    • Accessories: "Black Beam Gun", 2 missile launchers, missile launcher mount, 4 missiles
Vivisector is a repurposing of the Black Tracks toy offered as part of a contest connected to the release of the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: The Comics manga compilation. 300 Black Tracks figures were awarded through this contest.
The figure was apparently inspired by a rare black redeco of the Diaclone Corvette Stingray mold that was only available in Finland from the R-Kioski store chain there but in limited numbers with only a few originals found from these stores.

Masterpiece

  • Japanese ID number: MP-25B
  • Accessories: Gun, flight stand, Raoul minifigure, boombox, rear-view mirrors
Masterpiece Loud Pedal is a redeco and retool of Masterpiece Tracks, featuring a toy-accurate headsculpt. He comes with the gun from the Road Rage release of the mold and a redeco of the Raoul minifigure from the original Tracks release, now in his Auto-Bop color scheme. He was an exclusive to Tokyo Toy Show in 2016.

Notes

  • Vivisector is based on the rare, black Diaclone Corvette Stingray sold only in Finnish R-Kioski stores, which inspired the 2002 black Tracks toy.
  • "The Toxic Transformer"—which established Vivisector as being based on the black Diaclone Stingray—was released less than a day before the announcement of Masterpiece Loud Pedal. The author had no idea about plans for a Masterpiece version of "black Tracks", so that's quite a coincidence!
