Sparkcrusher

Sparkcrusher is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family.

My name basically means "soul smoosher."

The powerful Sparkcrusher hides amongst Earth's vehicles as a futuristic space tank, covered in nigh-impenetrable armor, and armed with a deadly cannon. Unfortunately, he's all power and no brains.

Because, you know, if he were smart, he'd have chosen to transform into an Abrams or something.

• Straightaway Shootout (Legends multi-pack, 2009)

Sparkcrusher is a redeco of Universe Legends Warpath, transforming into a Cybertronian tank with an elevating gun barrel. He was available in the Target-exclusive "Straightaway Shootout" 5-pack together with Mudflap, Ironhide, Runamuck and Swerve.

In Canada, the set was released as a Zellers exclusive.

Notes

• Sparkcrusher is a pretty blatant homage to the Action Master Gutcruncher. Whether his name changed due to trademark issues or a supposed "softening" of what the original name evokes is unknown.
• He's the only guy in his set that isn't based on a licensed vehicle, despite the whole "hiding on Earth" theme.
• Seriously, he has an intelligence rating of 2.
