The word "Bot" can refer to quite a lot of different things in Transformers.

• 1984 — "'Bot" is often used as shorthand for "Autobot", or just plain old "robot".
• 1986 — B.O.T. (Biotronic Operational Telecommunicator), a junk-robot built by some high school kids from the original The Transformers cartoon.
• 1986 — "B.O.T.", the episode in which said junk-robot was built.
• 1994 — BotCon, the former Transformers fan's mecca.
• 1996 — "Big Bot", a nickname given to both Optimus Primal and Animated Optimus Prime by their crews.
