Almost always alternate form which unpeels... in what case does the robot unpeel?

I'd suggest G1 Scourge as probable earliest use of this type of design.

I'm interested in any "reverse-shellformer" examples as well. Anyone? Can we remove that modifier until an example comes along? Buttbutt 00:56, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, maybe G1 Ultra Magnus or RID Prime? --MistaTee 02:27, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Slumblebee is both a shellformer and a reverse-shellformer. - Starfield 14:23, 8 October 2009 (EDT)

Should we mention Grimlock, Slag, and Sludge in the article? They do use shellforming to an extent. ZeldaTheSwordsman 21:29, 27 April 2010 (EDT)

That is not shellformering. That's just kibble. --ItsWalky 21:41, 27 April 2010 (EDT)

Should Voyager-Class Sentinel Prime (ROTF) be added? Inkblot 09:45, 10 December 2011 (EST)
