Mudslinger (G1)

- Mudslinger is an Autobot Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Mudslinger doesn’t respond well to even friendly criticism. He’s got a chip on his shoulder bigger than his monster tires, and a need to prove his toughness to the world. Unfortunately, this tends to be in the form of breaking cover and charging headlong into battle when the Off Road Patrol is supposed to be keeping covert. Highjump is particularly annoyed by this unprofessional and dangerous behavior, and Powertrain’s careful attempts to talk to Mudslinger about it have yet to yield any positive result. It’s especially frustrating for the team since Mudslinger is actually very good at camouflage when he puts his mind to it.[1]

Alongside the rest of the Off Road Patrol, Mudslinger was summoned to Earth by Optimus Prime to serve as reinforcements for the Autobots stationed on the planet. He was as rebellious as the rest of 'em, immediately explaining that the only reason they even came was to get some action. For their first mission, the Off Road Patrol was sent to investigate some supposed "monsters" in the swamps of New Jersey, and Mudslinger soon stumbled upon the Decepticons Skullgrin and Iguanus. Not fearing the larger Transformers one bit, he leapt into action and saved Cecilia Santiago from their grasp. After he was joined by his teammates, Mudslinger wrecked the weather-control device Skullgrin was guarding, but unfortunately the forces of nature were too far along to stop. Luckily, the Race Car Patrol were able to stop the Decepticons from collecting the storm's energies in the Big Apple, foiling their plot utterly. After the mission's completion, the Micromasters regrouped at the base of the Empire State Building, where Optimus offered to pick them up, so they could avoid any trouble from the local law enforcement agents. The Micromasters refused Optimus's help, preferring to instead act as an independent unit and deal with such matters their own way. King Con!
Both the Race Car Patrol and the Off Road Patrol decided to stay and live in New York City afterwards. During their stay, the Micromasters began fighting human crime. At one point, Mudslinger served as a prison transport for Tailspin to throw crooks into. The Interplanetary Wrestling Championship!
