Synapse is an Autobot Builder from the Beast Wars: Uprising portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
He had to pay an arm and a leg to get imported into G1.

Formerly an Autobot during the Great War, Synapse now serves as the political officer aboard the Cybertronian warship Dinosaur. In this capacity, he frequently clashes with Longrack, the ship's formal first officer.

Super Link Synapse was repurposed as Beast Wars: Uprising Synapse.
Synapse is a redeco of the "Corona" Sparkplug toy, transforming into a Cybertronic sports car. He was sold only as part of the second Micron Booster assortment in Japan, in individual, blind-packed boxes so you did not know which Mini-Con you got until you opened the box and opaque black plastic bag inside.
Synapse uses the same mold as Chrome and Thyristor. The original version of the mold is used by Atlas and Rod.
