Guardians of Cybertron

This article is about the group. For the individual who sometimes leads them, see Omega Sentinel (Energon).

The Guardians of Cybertron, were a group of ancient Cybertronians who sought to protect Cybertron from the threat of Unicron. Its members included Omega Supreme and Omega Sentinel. Each of them has a binary bonded companion known as a Guardian.

Sometimes instead of being led by an individual named Omega Sentinel, they themselves are known as the Omega Sentinels. Whatever the case may be, you really shouldn't mess with them. Unless you're a Decepticon with some crazy death wish.

Ask Vector Prime

Vector Prime noted that in some Aurex realities, Omega Supreme was the first and foremost of the dozens of Omega Sentinels. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/06/07 He also cited Aurex 604.0 Beta as a good example of a universe where an individual named Omega Sentinel led the Guardians of Cybertron. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/06/23

Interestingly enough, this isn't the most expensive army-builder toy in Transformers.

The individual Omega Sentinel toy was repurposed as the Omega Sentinel body-type by Ask Vector Prime.
A redeco of the Energon Omega Supreme toy, "The Powerlinx Battles" Omega Sentinel splits into a "battle train" and an ocean/space-faring warship. His claw-arm has a spring-activated "punching" gimmick in both modes, plus his battleship arm has light and sound electronics. In robot mode, he can combine with Energon Optimus Prime, and has numerous mounting points for Optimus's battle drones. These can also be used to attach Energon Wing Saber in his armor-parts form.
Sentinel's robot mode head detaches to become an individual robot that can be placed in the control cab of the crane portion of the "battle train" or a conning tower for the battleship. The neck piece that the head unit attaches to can be raised up slightly to reveal a set of unpainted optics, giving the robot body a head of sorts even without the head-robot attached.
This mold was retooled and redecoed to make the Platinum Edition "Year of the Snake" Omega Supreme.
